Look Here!

This has been a great weekend and it has only begun!  Another review came in for the anthology I’m in, One Touch, One Glance.  The whole story got Rated 5 Delightful Divas by Jaime!

Her recommendation for the whole story: Curl up with this one, folks. There’s something for every romance lover, and you’ll not be disappointed.

Her thoughts on the whole story:

This book is full of great stories. I flew through it, laughed, teared up a few times, and generally, had a great time delving into each world, meeting each new couple, and sharing their journeys. There are so many wonderful stories; I had to give them each a little bit individual attention. This is a terrific compilation of sweet, honest romance like I haven’t encountered in a long time.

And here is what she said about mine:

Title: Forever Guy
Author:
Jambrea Jo Jones
Summary:
Sam has always known what she wants, and that’s Jack. All she has to do, now he’s back in town, is convince him.

My review: Another gem. This story has all the elements I love. This story has it all, real characters, real relationships, and true love. What’s not to like? The author paints a vivid picture of small town life and community, and doesn’t sugar-coat the realities of coming home from war, knowing how impossible it is pick up where you left off. Starting fresh just might lead to forever, though.

I can’t stop Grinning!

Filed under: Uncategorized — jambrea @ 5:29 pm

My anthology got a review.  This one commented on each individual story.  Here is what mine said:

Forever Guy by Jambrea Jo Jones

Sheriff Samantha Reynolds has a lot on her plate and mind, ensuring that the town of Port is free from crime. So, after being covered in mud after being knocked down by a pig (LOL), she is shocked to find that her brother’s best friend, Jack, has arrived back in town. She’s had a crush on him for years. Has she got a chance with him now he’s back, or will she have to forever hold her feelings inside?

An enjoyable tale in many respects, especially the pig image.

The whole anthology got this:

If you aren’t familiar with Cocktail Reviews, they have a drink theme for their reviewers and they rate according to flutes of champagne such as 1 for the worst and 5 for wonderful and a whole bottle of Champagne (two bottles and sometimes an extra glass or two) for those that are considered stellar or better.

I received the I Love Your Blog Award!

Filed under: Uncategorized — jambrea @ 2:33 pm

I’ve been given the I Love Your Blog Award by L.A. Day.  I love Ms. Day.  Her writing is great and you need to check out her website!

Now, I’m supposed to give this award to seven other blogs, which is tough because there are so many great blogs out there but these blogs are all:

Heehee (I had to use it.  Valerie made it for me)

TA Chase:  I am his #1 Stalk..er..Fan.  lol  I love his writing and he has a serial story that updates every Tuesday and Thursday.  Not to mention all the hot eye candy he keeps us supplied with.

Anthony Owens:  He just started this neat thing called Scenes from a Hat where you get a word and have to write 500 words using the word or the feeling of the word.  Should be pretty interesting.  Oh, did I tell you he is the hubby?

Valerie Tibbs:  She is a kick ass cover artist!  I’m trying to finish a story so she can design my cover!  She is also a great friend who keeps my writing in line!  Thanks V!  You should check out her covers she has on her blog!  You’ll want one too.  :D

Kristie Fleetwood:  Kristie is a new friend I met through Joy.  Her blog has some spicy stuff, so if you don’t like naked men, don’t click her link!  lol  She has great eye candy.  heehee

Cindy Jacks:  Not only is she one of my critique partners, but she is also a friend.  Her blog has some great author spotlights as well as the eye candy.  Gotta love the eye candy!  :D

Kensana Darnell:  She is my other critique partner and friend, but that isn’t all.  We share our first book together with Freya’s Bower.  Dec. 9th and we are so excited.  Her blog has a wonderful serial story on it, you will love it!

Greta Wheeler:  She is new to the blogging world and has some GREAT author interviews up.  Go take a peek.

Cat of a Different Color by Dana Marie Bell

He’ll do whatever it takes to protect his mate. 896

Halle Pumas, Book 3

Dr. Adrian Giordano is quite happy with the way his life is going. His two best friends are happily mated, and he’s still sanely single. He has friends, a thriving business, and the occasional Saturday night date. Then Sheridan Montgomery comes to town. His inner Puma responds to the husky-voiced snow princess in a way that tells him his life is about to be turned upside down.

Sheri can’t believe her luck could be this bad. Instinct tells her Adrian is her mate, but the last thing she wants to do is drag him into her messy life. She’s on the run from a big bad wolf—an ex who won’t take no for an answer. Worse, if he catches her, he’s got the teeth (and the Pack!) to take what he wants.

She doesn’t stand a chance alone, but with her friends—and the persistent Adrian—by her side, she might just survive.

If her ex doesn’t eat the yummy Dr. Giordano for lunch, that is

Warning: This title contains explicit sex, graphic language, a handsome, dark-eyed shifter and a couple of bites to remember.

I worried a little about Sheri, but only because I LOVED Emma and Becky so much.  But let me tell you she can hold her own.

Dana added so much to this story and weaved her way into opening up a whole shifter world.  She does it seamlessly and I loved every minute of it.

Sheri just wants to protect the man who is her mate.  He has no idea just how dangerous her ex boyfriend is.  Adrian doesn’t care.  Sheri is his mate and he will protect her at all cost.  Once Adrian finds his mate, he finds out something about himself that is a real eye opener.  AND I’m not going to tell you what it is.  I guess you’ll just have to read the book!  :D

As always Dana’s books are laugh out loud funny.  Go buy it now.  :D

It seems like my average count is around 1,040.  I can be happy with that.  I would like to have a couple days with over 1,000 and closer to 2,000.  That would make up for the two days I missed last week.  I know it will happen.  I’m just happy that I’m adding words most days.  Thank you Sven.  :)
