SUBMISSION TIMES TWO

Ethan and Cam met the year before at an Submission-Times-Two-coverunderground BDSM club and their connection was intense and immediate. There was just one small problem–they’re both subs. To work around this, they agree to find their own Doms for play, engaging in hot scenes complete with whips and chains, but leaving their hearts at home.

The setup works fine, until the day a hot Dom named Maestro enters the picture. For the first time, Ethan finds himself keeping secrets.

Maestro has secrets of his own. Unrequited passion and sizzling hot D/s lead to the three agreeing to a play scene that ends up ensnaring them all in something more powerful than any of them had dreamed of. Can two subs submit to a man who would claim not only their bodies, but their hearts and minds? Or will the intensity of a D/s ménage break their world apart.

You can read and excerpt on her site: http://clairethompson.net/books/rom-mm-bdsm/subx2.html

I loved this book. Ethan and Cam show a true love for each other and I love they way they COMMUNICATE!  They talk to each other about their feelings and what is going on in their lives.  Of course, they have to with the type of open relationship they have. Or should say, they need.  When I read Subx2 I could feel the love of this couple. The struggle Ethan has about telling Cam shows and I’m glad he spoke to Cam.

Enter Andrew. What a great third character and he really adds to the dynamic of Cam and Ethan. They need him.  I think if Andrew didn’t enter when he did that Ethan and Cam might not have lasted. Not with what they both needed. They didn’t need a play-part time Dom. They need someone who can care for them. I think the club scene would have become old.

Claire does a wonderful job with this story and reading Subx2 reminds me why I love Claire’s writing. If you love Claire like I do you NEED to pick this book up because it TOTALLY ROCKS!  :)

Some of you might not be aware of it, but Claire opened her own publishing company Romance Unbound. So support her and go buy the book from her site.

Jambrea-approved[1]

I love this woman!  lol  I have fallen in love with her boys.  I just recently found her through my friend T.  She suggested that I would love Carol Lynne and she was RIGHT!

Eye of the BeholderI started with the Good Brothers and that went into Cattle Valley.  After I finished Cattle Valley I fould out that her Campus Cravings books would feed into the Cattle series as well so I had to have those too!  lol  I devoured them.  As a matter of fact I just finished re reading the Good Brothers and Cattle Valley to get ready for the new Cattle Valley book, Eye of the Beholder.

Eye of the Beholder…ROCKED!  OMG. I loved it.    It was a wonderful addition to the Cattle Valley series and I can’t wait for the new book.  I love that Carol deals with real life issues.  HIV is one of the issues that sexually active adults have to be aware of. She shows the world through her words that a person with HIV is just like you and me.  I think that is wonderful and with books like Carol’s out, I hope it can open some eyes to those who are still afraid of people with the HIV status!

Eye of the Beholder…that title really says it all.  I love Rance. I’m glad Carol Texas Hold'emwrote Bo for Rance. These two are wonderful together.  Of course…there was a small glimpse at the end of the story of another couple!  You’ll have to read it and see if you are thinking what I”m thinking!!!

Okay…Now I’m off to fee my Carol addiction by reading the first book in her new Poker series!!!  If you haven’t tried Carol Lynne, you should!

AND…*squee*  she dedicated Eye of the Beholder to me!  She is so cool!  Thanks Carol and I can’t wait for more!

Fall Into Me by Linda Winfree

Genre: lin-winfree

ISBN: 978-1-60504-366-1
Length: Novel
Price: 5.50
Publication Date: January 6, 2009
Cover art by Anne Cain

She’s finally falling for the right man…at the worst possible time.

A part of the Hearts of the South series.

After two back-to-back romantic disappointments, bar owner Angel Henderson isn’t looking for love. In the past month, she’s been passed over twice by men she’d pinned her hopes on, both times in favor of a younger woman. She’s ready to swear off men for life. The only problem? A certain younger man determined to prove he can be her right man.

Sheriff’s deputy Troy Lee Farr is tired of being the department screw-up. The harder he tries to prove himself, the worse it gets. The only thing that’s gone right recently is getting a second chance with Angel. Except she’d rather jam on the brakes than rush into a new relationship. Now he has to work hard to prove his worth as a romantic prospect.

Troy Lee is a patient man, and it isn’t long before Angel is falling into him as hard as he’s fallen for her. Just as Angel begins to think of him as more than a fun date, her past—and Troy’s dangerous reality—threatens the tentative happiness they’ve found in one another.

Reminding them both that security is tenuous…and unconditional love is the biggest challenge of all.

Warning: Cops who talk like cops, explicit older woman-younger man lovin’, and two-boxes-of-tissues emotion.

http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com/shop/product.da/fall-into-me  Buy Link

The warning is RIGHT on.  You will need two boxes of tissues for this emotional rollercoster.  I want to start this by saying that Troy Lee is my hero and it is too bad there are not more real men like him.  Not only is he smart and sexy, but he is caring and gentle, understanding and loving.  You can’t help but fall madly in love with him.  Then there is Angel.  She is a broken beauty who needs the right man to heal her.  My heart just breaks for her.

I love how Linda Winfree pulls no punches.  Her stories are all about the consequences and I love that she is not afraid to go were she needs to to make her stories so good.  And man are there consequenes in Fall Into Me.  I can’t say much more because you need to enjoy each and every second of this story.  By the end you will know why Troy Lee is my favorite Man of the South.

I can’t say enough how much I loved this story.  There is SO much I want to say, but everytime I think of something I’m afraid it will ruin the story for someone.  Just know this, if you want a great emotional and SATISFYING read, pick up Fall Into Me and you won’t be disappointed.

“Bound by Love” by T. A. Chase

Genre: ,

ISBN: 1-60504-259-5
Length: Novella
Price: 3.50
Publication Date: December 2, 2008
Cover art by Anne Cain

Two cowboys fall in love. It’s as simple and as complicated as that.

Tyler Newsome is heading home to the Lazy N, tired of the rodeo and tired of always being his charismatic twin’s shadow. It’s time he gets a life of his own—and maybe the man he’s always dreamed of, too.

Ren Alston’s always been attracted to Tyler, but never made a move because of his own mental and emotional baggage. But after years spent taming his demons and gaining control in every aspect of his life, Ren sees the younger man’s return as a sign of good things to come.

But first, they have to deal with Tyler’s twin, past indiscretions and Ren’s brothers. Will these cowboys manage to build a strong foundation of trust and love? Or will their problems be too much for them?

Warning: Explicit manlove. Hot naked cowboys, caramel sauce, spanking, whipping and a new twist on the old fashioned roll in the hay.

I love this book, but that should be no surprise to anyone who knows me.  Tyler has a lot to deal with in the shadow of his brother JT.  He finally decided that it is time for him to live his own life.  I love that Tyler took a stand.  Ren is the strong silent type and oh so yummy, plus his crush on Tyler is too cute!  But the person I like I love the most is Tyler and JT’s dad, Frank Newsome.  His is such a great and understanding father and you can see the love shine through.  I’m thinking TA might need to write his story too.  He can just add it to his long list!  lol  Of course I can’t forget Ren’s brothers.  Keith just broke my heart and so did Isaiah.  I just have a soft place in my heart for military men.

Cool fact:  There is a mention of some one from TA’s home series in Bound by Love!

Bound by Love will be another TA Chase book that I will read over and over again!

If you want to see pictures of these two cowboys, my muse interviewed Ren and TA’s muse Sam on The Playground.  http://playgroundmystique.wordpress.com/

Look Here!

Filed under: One Glance, One Touch, Reviews, Writers, Writing — jambrea @ 10:44 pm

This has been a great weekend and it has only begun!  Another review came in for the anthology I’m in, One Touch, One Glance.  The whole story got Rated 5 Delightful Divas by Jaime!

Her recommendation for the whole story: Curl up with this one, folks. There’s something for every romance lover, and you’ll not be disappointed.

Her thoughts on the whole story:

This book is full of great stories. I flew through it, laughed, teared up a few times, and generally, had a great time delving into each world, meeting each new couple, and sharing their journeys. There are so many wonderful stories; I had to give them each a little bit individual attention. This is a terrific compilation of sweet, honest romance like I haven’t encountered in a long time.

And here is what she said about mine:

Title: Forever Guy
Author:
Jambrea Jo Jones
Summary:
Sam has always known what she wants, and that’s Jack. All she has to do, now he’s back in town, is convince him.

My review: Another gem. This story has all the elements I love. This story has it all, real characters, real relationships, and true love. What’s not to like? The author paints a vivid picture of small town life and community, and doesn’t sugar-coat the realities of coming home from war, knowing how impossible it is pick up where you left off. Starting fresh just might lead to forever, though.

He’ll do whatever it takes to protect his mate. 896

Halle Pumas, Book 3

Dr. Adrian Giordano is quite happy with the way his life is going. His two best friends are happily mated, and he’s still sanely single. He has friends, a thriving business, and the occasional Saturday night date. Then Sheridan Montgomery comes to town. His inner Puma responds to the husky-voiced snow princess in a way that tells him his life is about to be turned upside down.

Sheri can’t believe her luck could be this bad. Instinct tells her Adrian is her mate, but the last thing she wants to do is drag him into her messy life. She’s on the run from a big bad wolf—an ex who won’t take no for an answer. Worse, if he catches her, he’s got the teeth (and the Pack!) to take what he wants.

She doesn’t stand a chance alone, but with her friends—and the persistent Adrian—by her side, she might just survive.

If her ex doesn’t eat the yummy Dr. Giordano for lunch, that is

Warning: This title contains explicit sex, graphic language, a handsome, dark-eyed shifter and a couple of bites to remember.

I worried a little about Sheri, but only because I LOVED Emma and Becky so much.  But let me tell you she can hold her own.

Dana added so much to this story and weaved her way into opening up a whole shifter world.  She does it seamlessly and I loved every minute of it.

Sheri just wants to protect the man who is her mate.  He has no idea just how dangerous her ex boyfriend is.  Adrian doesn’t care.  Sheri is his mate and he will protect her at all cost.  Once Adrian finds his mate, he finds out something about himself that is a real eye opener.  AND I’m not going to tell you what it is.  I guess you’ll just have to read the book!  :D

As always Dana’s books are laugh out loud funny.  Go buy it now.  :D

From the Publisher’s site:

Her psychic gift drove away the man she loved— and years later has drawn him back to her…As a teenager, Taige Branch hated her psychic gift. No one could understand—except for Cullen Morgan, the boy who stole her heart. He did his best to accept her, until his mother was brutally murdered—and he couldn’t forgive Taige for not preventing it.

Now a widowed father, Cullen Morgan has never forgotten Taige. But what brings her back into his life is another tragedy. His beloved little girl has been kidnapped, and Taige is his only hope of finding her. Working together against the clock, Cullen and Taige can’t help but wonder whether—if they find his daughter in time—it isn’t too late for the overpowering love that still burns between them…

My Review:

The Missing is tragically beautiful from page one until the end.  Shiloh pulled me into another one of her novels and I couldn’t put it down; The Missing is just that good.  I had to know what happened.  Bravo Ms. Walker for yet another wonderful story.

Shiloh writes with such emotions.  She knows how to break your heart and have you in tears.  She takes rough situations that most writers wouldn’t touch and turns them around, making you feel so strongly for her characters you just want to be there for them.  You feel like you are a part of their story and need to know more.  Shiloh put me through an emotional ringer.  If I wasn’t crying sad tears I was crying happy ones.

If you are looking for a light read, The Missing is not for you.  BUT…if you enjoy a story with grit, determination and true love thrown in, The Missing is for you.

Shiloh’s characters are tortured, but strong.  Take Taige, she has been through so much, more than even the blurb can begin to describe.  Cullen starts off as a great anchor for Taige, but in the end she is his everything.  These two were meant for each other.  They need each other.  It is shown through this lovely tale Shiloh has woven together.

I can’t wait to see where Shiloh takes me next.

From the Random House Website:

Ryder. The man was just as sexy as she remembered him:

tall, lean, and dangerous, a demon hunter with the body of a god.

But archaeologist Angelique Deveraux has little time for lust. She’s been hiding a gleaming black diamond, a prize everyone wants—including Ryder—and now she’s running for her life. Hot on her trail is Ryder, a legendary demon hunter she desires but can’t quite trust, a man with an insatiable need for danger and a few dark secrets of his own.

As sparks ignite between the rogue hunter and his latest prey, Angie’s world is rocked again when her twin sister vanishes, stolen away by the same dark forces stalking Angie and the black diamond. With Ryder offering protection—and more—suddenly a woman who’s never trusted anyone is falling for a man who isn’t afraid of anything…except losing his heart. Now, as an all-out demon war erupts and Angie’s family secrets unravel, Ryder’s demon hunt and Angie’s quest to save her sister are about to collide. And when they do, it’ll send these two wary hearts on the wildest adventure of their lives—and maybe even save humankind in the process.…

The Darkest Touch is AWESOME!  I love Jaci’s demon series because it gives you a little bit of everything.  You get intrigue, romance and a little humor along with some hot passionate scenes.  Plus I love how she sets you up for the next book.  Sneaky is our Jaci!  J  She has me wanting the next book RIGHT after I finish the one I’m reading.

Ryder is smoking hot with a touch of danger and that is just how I like my men.  He has a military background which is hot unto itself!  He tries to be angry at Angie, but he just can’t stay away from her.

Angelique is complex with problems of her own, but man she is kick ass.  I love kick ass heroines and Jaci sure knows how to write them.  I think that is why I am drawn to Jaci’s books, the heroine holding her own.

The Darkest Touch is a must read and if you haven’t read the first two…what are you waiting for!  Go get them all so you are caught up for the next book.  Here they are listed in order.
