Hard to Hold by Stephanie Tyler
Stephanie Tyler has a yummy book getting ready to release and I LOVE a good military man so I had to share!!!
Maximum danger.
Maximum desire.
And holding on for dear life…
The Special Ops hero feared nothing
-until he met a woman too hot to hold…
Lt. Jake Hansen has survived some of the riskiest missions known to man. But now the wounded Navy SEAL faces his toughest job yet: Smuggling Dr. Isabelle Markham out of Africa without triggering an international incident. Not easy to do when the gorgeous hostage happens to be a senator’s daughter —and about as easy to resist as an oasis in the desert…
If it weren’t for Jake, Isabelle would still be halfway across the world, where rebel forces left her for dead. The Special Ops warrior may have saved her life, but she doesn’t need him to protect her now. Tell that to the ruggedly handsome hunk in full battle fatigues who’s just been assigned Isabelle’s personal bodyguard. Close quarters aside, Isabelle won’t let Jake anywhere near her heart — until danger throws them together again…and nothing in the jungles of wildest Africa could prepare them for a passion this wild. This crazy. This hot….

M/M Meme…NWS
Questions:
1. How long have you been reading GLBTQ fiction?
Two years…maybe? No longer than that.
2. What was the first book you read in this genre?
Fireflies by Ally Blue
Yep!
Mostly ebooks, but I do have some in print.
5. Do you buy direct from publishers or from secondary sellers?
I always try to buy direct from the publisher because I know that the authors receive more royalties that way.

6. Prove you’re a Book Slut. How many books would you say you buy a week?
Depends on the week. lol Hmmm…maybe 5
7. Are you a cover, blurb or excerpt buyer?
All of the above. I had a book, Jan Irving The Janitor, that I really loved the cover. I was going to wait to buy it. Then I read the blurb, it put it up on my list. THEN…I read the excerpt and bought it on the spot. lol
8. Yeah, you read reviews, but do you actually take notice of them?
Sometimes. I’m more than likely to notice a friends review on the book, but I do check out sites.
9. Who’s your fave publisher?
Wow…I have a few that I buy from regularly. Ummm…plead the fifth. lol
Only TWO! Are you nuts?!?!?!! Hmmm…TA Chase and Carol Lynne (they count as one because they are writing a book together) and Ally Blue. heehee
11. Is there a sub-genre you particularly dis/like?
I try any sub-genre at least once. I haven’t come across one I really dislike.
12. Short or long?? *rolls eyes* And, no, I’m not talking about cocks.
Depends on my mood.
I like them both
I haven’t found anything yet so…glorious smut. lol

14. Finish this sentence. You know it’s m/m twu wuv when…
the men are unzipping before the front door closes.
15. What trope or theme are you heartily sick of in m/m romance?
Nothing.
Wow…this one is hard. Um…Josh and Ryan from TA Chase’s Tabloid Star and add in….um….a cowboy from Carol Lynne’s Cattle Valley. heehee
17. What new GLBTQ release are you most hanging out for right now?
Hmmm…any new release from my favorite authors.
18. What GLBTQ book has completely blown you away this year?
The Janitor by Jan Irving; Ghost of Alcatraz by Carol Lynne; Drawn Together and the St. Nacho books by ZA Maxfield; Ethan Day’s As You Are; Jet Mykles’ Just for You; I know there are more that I’m not saying. *sigh* I’ve read a LOT of great m/m this year
19. What do you think we’ll see more of in m/m romance in 2010?
Hmmm…I’m not sure. Probably more of the same.
20. Don’t you agree that author Josh Lanyon should kill off arsehole character Jake Riordan?
Um…no? I’ve read some Josh Lanyon that I LOVE, but I haven’t read the books with this character. Sorry.

Spotlight 11 – Lexxie Couper
Hmmm….I don’t remember that name before? How about you guys. I looked and looked and didn’t see her on the list as a memeber at International Heat…but….wait…Oh….there it is! heehee It COULD be because Lexxie is the newest member of International Heat. Here is what she has to say on the about page of IH:
Lexxie Couper (Newcastle, Down Under) is not a deviant. She just has a deviant’s imagination and is a little disturbed and twisted. She tends to live in the dark places inside your mind and takes great delight in making you squirm in your seat – in more ways than one. When she was little she wanted to be Stephen King when she grew up. Now she wants to be an extra on Chuck.
I have run across Lexx a couple of times over at the Samhain Yahoo Group and she is a LOT of fun to talk to. She is a great addition and I can’t wait to get to know her better!
Good Luck and for another chance to win go comment on the following blogs:

Will giving him the green flag lead to love…or heartache?
The Love of Sports Series, Book 2
CJ Lamont is at the top of the racing world but his winning record is based on a carefully constructed lie. His world falls apart when his ex-wife reveals the truth. As he hits rock bottom, rescue comes from an unexpected source—Garrett Johnson, Hollywood’s hottest leading man.
Garrett’s acting career is taking off, bringing him accolades he’d never imagined. Good friends and family keep his days hopping, but watching his twin brother fall in love exposes the emptiness in Garrett’s life created by the betrayal of his ex-lover.
Garrett offers CJ a place to heal and a shoulder to lean on, telling himself it’s only to keep CJ from taking a more destructive path. But as time passes, the two men grow closer and CJ realizes he has a decision to make—whether to rebuild his fictitious life, or admit to loving a man who shines brighter than the Hollywood stars.
Will he reach for the star or sink back into his old life?
Warning: This title contains hot man love, sticky situations with honey, fast cars and faster men.
This book is so good. I hope everyone takes time to buy it today. Garrett is a great man and he had to sit back and watch Kasey fall in love while his love life is shattered. Of course Garrett couldn’t go the easy way. Oh no! He falls hard for someone pushed out of the closet. It’s hard, but TA makes it work!
Now for Dana!
Her new story comes out today as well! It’s called Very Much Alive and this one is a keeper! I mean, come one…menage! Two sexy men who can’t keep thier hands off each other and the woman who helps make them whole! Here is what Samhain has to say:

Her destiny rests in their hands…
True Destiny, Book 1
Kiran Tate and Logan Saeter have been on the run from Oliver Grimm for so long they’ve forgotten what it’s like to be free. Ending Grimm’s power games won’t be easy, but this time they have an ace in the hole. PI Jordan Grey, Guardian Investigation’s resident hot shot—and Grimm’s step-granddaughter.
Jordan Grey has her doubts when Logan and Kir show up in her office with a tall tale of how her step-grandfather has framed them for murder. And to top it all off, they’re claiming that they’re really the ancient Norse gods Loki and Baldur, and that Grimm is Odin!
When the two lovers see the sexy detective for the first time, stopping Grimm suddenly takes a back seat to seducing her into their arms. But Grimm never rests, and when his anger spills over onto Jordan, it sets them all on a collision course with a destiny that will rock their world…
Warning: This book contains explicit sex, graphic language, some violence, and hot male/male/female action. In fact, it could be considered a religious experience.
So…as soon as you can…go buy these books!!!

Blurb: Dismayed when the full moon reveals his lover’s secret, Butch runs instead of facing his fears. Fate crashes into his life when a train ride goes horribly wrong. Now Butch must face the truth–or will tragedy intervene yet again, separating the lovers forever?
Excerpt:
Lost in thought, Butch settled in his seat on the train, shook his head, and glanced around at the others occupying his space. His gaze landed on an attractive man who sat a few seats up. It couldn’t be who he thought it was, but something tickled his thoughts and brought back memories. He continued to stare at the handsome man and gasped as the stranger looked up. Butch became absorbed in the man’s dark brown eyes; a spark of recognition flared, but it was jolted away by a loud screeching noise. As darkness descended, he thought, it’s Mitch.
Butch tried to blink away the fuzz.
What happened? Where…oh, my God. The train…oh no, Mitch.
His vision wouldn’t cooperate, so he closed his eyes to focus his other senses. He took a deep breath and then gasped in shock at a sharp pain in his side. His hand hovered over the area. He explored the wound and felt something wet and sticky. He didn’t apply much pressure for fear he would make the injury worse.
“Baby, please don’t move.”
A small kiss fluttered on his forehead.
“Mitch? Is that you?” His injury forgotten for the moment, he waited for an answer.
“Yes, it’s me. I’m here. Just don’t move. You can’t—” Mitch choked on his words.
“What is it, Mitch? What’s wrong?” He didn’t want to panic, but he heard the fear in Mitch’s voice.
A hand rested on Butch’s forehead, and he stopped questioning. He remembered those hands; he’d dreamt of them—missed them. Now they stroked his hair away from his face in an attempt to calm him.
Why did I run?
“I don’t know much. The train crashed into something, and then the conductor came over the PA and made an announcement to ask us to sit tight until the rescue crews get here.”
“Mitch, I have to sit up. Would you help me? I don’t want to lie here and…why can’t I feel my legs?” Panic laced his voice. “And what’s that noise?”
Butch struggled to sit up, only to have Mitch hold him down.
“Butch, stop moving. I said stop, damn it! Listen to me.” Mitch paused. Butch heard the catch in his voice again.
Things must be worse than I realized.
This title is very affordable at only $1.49!
